FB-2 Liquid Description
Overview:
The FuturaBio™ FB-2 generates a 500 ppm ultra-pure chlorine dioxide solution when activated in 2 liters of water (0.05% solution). Each unit produces 1 gram of chlorine dioxide through a controlled reaction inside our patented membrane delivery system. This advanced technology isolates all precursor chemicals and by-products, releasing only pure, neutral-pH chlorine dioxide into the surrounding water.
The concentration achieved is volume dependent:
-
When dissolved in 2 liters of water, FB-2 produces a 500 ppm (0.05%) solution.
-
When dissolved in 10 liters of water, the same sachet yields a 100 ppm (0.01%) solution.
This flexibility makes FB-2 an excellent choice for small-scale treatments, routine disinfection, and portable applications where precise dosing is required. For larger applications, see the FB-12.5 and FB-30 technical bulletins for scaling guidance.

FB-12.5 Liquid Description
Overview:
The FuturaBio™ FB-12.5 generates a 500 ppm ultra-pure chlorine dioxide solution when activated in 2.5 gallons of water (0.05% solution). Each unit produces 5 grams of chlorine dioxide through a controlled reaction inside our patented membrane delivery system. This unique system isolates all precursor chemicals and by-products, releasing only pure, neutral-pH chlorine dioxide into the surrounding water.
The concentration achieved is volume dependent:

FB-30 Liquid Description
Overview:
The FuturaBio™ FB-30 generates a 500 ppm ultra-pure chlorine dioxide solution when activated in 6 gallons of water (0.05% solution). Each unit produces 12 grams of chlorine dioxide through a controlled reaction inside our patented membrane delivery system. This advanced technology isolates all precursor chemicals and by-products, releasing only pure, neutral-pH chlorine dioxide into the surrounding water.
The concentration achieved is volume dependent:
-
When dissolved in 6 gallons of water, FB-30 produces a 500 ppm (0.05%) solution.
-
When dissolved in 30 gallons of water, the same sachet yields a 100 ppm (0.01%) solution.

Directions For Use
Activation Instructions
-
Open the outer package carefully. Ensure the inner membrane envelope is not cut or damaged.
-
Discard the enclosed desiccant packet.
-
Immerse (fully submerge) the membrane envelope in the designated container of water.
-
Close and seal the container tightly. The container should be dark, oxidation-resistant, and securely sealed.
-
See the FuturaBio Technical Bulletin for guidance on container specifications, water volumes, contact times, and dilution ratios for specific applications.
-
-
Allow the solution to activate:
-
Wait at least 2 hours before using to ensure the solution reaches full strength.
-
Do not remove the envelope from the water prior to 2 hours.
-
-
After activation, remove the envelope and mix the solution gently before use.
-
Always work in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhaling fumes.
-
Wear protective gloves if hands may come into contact with the activated solution during dilution or application.
-
If handling concentrated (500 ppm) stock solution in open containers, use a NIOSH/MSHA-approved respirator for chlorine dioxide.
-
-
Remove the membrane envelope from the container within 24 hours of activation. Do not reuse. Dispose of according to label instructions.
Verification of Concentration
-
Before use, verify chlorine dioxide concentration with FuturaBio Test Strips.
-
If test results show lower-than-desired concentration, refer to the Technical Bulletin for corrective actions.
-
-
Use appropriate test strips:
-
For solutions above 10 ppm → use Wide Range Test Strips.
-
For solutions 10 ppm or less → use Low Range Test Strips.
-
Storage of Activated Solution
-
Activate prior to the expiration date stamped on the package.
-
Store unused solution (and/or subsequent dilutions) in a dark, oxidation-resistant sealed container.
-
Record the activation date and concentration on the stick-on label provided, and affix it to the storage container.
-
Store activated solution in a cool location, away from direct sunlight.
-
Do not store in refrigerators dedicated to food storage.

PPE Requirements
- Eye Protection
- Gloves (if hands will come into contact with activated solution)
- Respiratory protection is not required under the limited exposure conditions of most normal use patterns. However, wear a NIOSH/MSHA-approved respirator appropriate for chlorine dioxide under the following conditions:
- when applying activated solution with a high-pressure sprayer
- when working with the activated solution for an extended period of time in a closed facility or in a poorly-ventilated area
- when normal work shift duties entail uninterrupted periods of applying the activated solution with mop, sponge, or sprayer
- when opening vessel containing stock activated solution (at 500 ppm) generated using GC series products
- if OSHA inhalation exposure limits are reached or exceeded (please see MSDS).
